Le Grand Bornand is part of the Aravis skiing area. It has 100km of slopes spread around Mont Lachat at 2100m. La Clusaz, a neighbouring resort, can be bought on the same ski pass which increases the ski area to a considerable 250km of piste.
The Aravis region has a great snow record due to an unusual weather system that catches a large amount of snow compared to other areas of a similar altitude. The resort is great for all abilities, with gentle greens for the beginners, some of the steepest blacks in France for the pros and a snow park rated in the top five in the country for the young.
Grand Bornand’s lift infrastructure has been regularly upgraded over the past decade ensuring easy access to all areas. La Ferme du Soleil is the highest ski-in ski-out chalet in the resort and has all of this right on its doorstep!
